Get ready Ipoh! Petz-A-Mania, Perak’s grandest pet carnival, is coming back bigger than ever. Mark your calendars for August 3-4 at the Perak Turf Club, where a paw-some weekend awaits you and your furry friends.
Supported by local champions like the Ipoh City Council (MBI), the Perak Veterinary Department (DVS), and more, Petz-A-Mania is on a mission. This two-day extravaganza aims to tackle stray animal issues head-on while promoting the joys of pet adoption. Thanks to the efforts of five local NGOs, including Papansouls and Mutts & Mittens, attendees can even find their perfect four-legged companion through an adoption drive.
But it’s not all serious business! Prepare to be amazed by police K9 demonstrations, where these heroic dogs will strut their stuff. Marvel at the “Dancing with Dogs” spectacle and catch your breath watching parrots take flight in a stunning aerial display. For those with a competitive streak, join in the “Fun Cat Beauty Contest” or the hilarious “Dog Tricks (Obedience)” challenge.
And it’s not just about pets! Kids can unleash their creativity in a colouring contest, while everyone can enjoy Horse & Pony rides available for children and adults alike. With food stalls offering delightful treats and beverages galore, Petz-A-Mania promises a feast for all the senses.
The fun kicks off at 10 am and doesn’t stop until 9 pm, both days. Best of all? Admission is free! Whether you’re a pet parent, a future adopter, or simply love animals, Petz-A-Mania invites everyone to join in the celebration of the bond between humans and our beloved furry friends.
