LUMUT: As a result of monitoring and patrols by the police, they have successfully apprehended 14 men through the Ops Pencegahan Samseng Jalanan at Jalan Batu 12 Segari Gunung Tunggal – Ayer Tawar recently.
Manjung District Police Headquarters, in its statement, said that among the motorcyclists apprehended were underage teenagers.
According to the statement, six motorcycles were also seized during the operation.
“A total of 19 summonses were issued for various offences.
“Other detected violations include riding motorcycles without a licence, missing side mirrors, modified exhausts, and more,” it said.
It added that all those apprehended were issued summonses and given advice by police officers to prevent a recurrence.
“The police have also contacted the families and guardians of the teenagers to inform them about the offences committed by the detained youths,” it said.
