Lapan Nenek are organising one of Ipoh’s biggest cosplay events of the year with their Anime Dream AMG (Anime, Manga & Gaming) event, which will be held at Octagon from July 26 to 28.
Over the course of these three days, there will be various activities, including video games, board games, open stage, cosplayer performances, random dance, DJ sessions as well as the Nasi Lemak Challenge, with a Lucky Draw on top.
There will be many cosplay idols with booths who will be selling their services, from photoshoots and personal albums, as well as booths selling a wide range of anime figurines, keychains and other anime merchandise like posters, badges and stickers.
On-site, there will be viral food stalls (pork free), offering such delectable snacks as mashed potatoes, teppanyaki prawn, odenyaki, cocoa drinks and chocolate cakes. The event aims to be Muslim friendly, so there will be a prayer room (surau) on the first floor.
A highlight on Sunday will be the cosplay competition, judged by @King Angel, @Victoriawey and @Paradox, with each participant having 2 minutes on stage to showcase their talents. There is no age restriction as all cosplay enthusiasts are warmly invited to join in on the competition and festivities.
