IPOH: The potential to market Ipoh tourism to neighboring countries was realized when the Ipoh City Council (MBI) participated in the Makassar International Eight Festival (F8) and Forum in Indonesia.

MBI is also the first local authority to join this exhibition.

The event, held at Losari Beach in Makassar, Indonesia, featured exhibitions from other countries such as Germany, Australia, India, and the Philippines.

MBI introduced local tourism products focusing on the Hipster, Health, and Heritage (3H) concept, showcasing famous products like Ipoh nuts and Chang Jiang White Coffee.

In addition to the exhibition, other programs included forums, fashion shows, musical and artistic performances, and a variety of food offerings.

The five-day program, which began on July 24, was officiated by the Mayor of Makassar, Mohammad Ramdhan Pomanto.

Around 600,000 people attended the event.

During the forum, MBI held a meeting with Mohammad Ramdhan.

Representing MBI at the meeting were three council members: Councillor (Clr) Basri Mohamad Nor, Clr. Azmy Mohamed Nazir, and Clr. Muhammad Hamzah Md Hamdan.

Discussions covered topics such as tourism, local administration, and the economy.
