IPOH: Tripadvisor, the world’s largest travel guidance platform, has once again recognized Tanjung Tualang Tin Dredge No. 5 (TT5) with the Travelers’ Choice Award for 2024.
This marks the third time TT5 has received the Travelers’ Choice Award, with previous recognitions in 2021 and 2023.
The Travelers’ Choice Award highlights destinations that consistently deliver excellence.
Winners are selected based on the number of outstanding reviews and high ratings from visitors over the past 12 months, acknowledging attractions that provide high-quality experiences beyond expectations.
In line with the responsible mining agenda outlined in the Perak Sejahtera 2030 plan, MB Inc Perak has been mandated by the State Government to restore this former tin mining site.
This effort aims to ensure that the iconic heritage of the former TT5 tin dredge, which once was the heart of Malaysia’s tin mining industry during its heyday, is remembered.
The conservation effort is intended to preserve the remnants of the tin mining industry for future generations.
This recognition also reflects the visitors’ appreciation, making this achievement possible.
