IPOH: Ipoh once again made its mark on the running enthusiasts’ calendar as over 3,500 participants took part in the Ipoh International Run 2024.
As is widely known, running events attract their own dedicated fan base who enjoy testing their competitive edge.
The event, which started at the Stadium Indera Mulia Stadium Ipoh, featured three race categories: 21 kilometers (km), 10km, and 5km.
Organized by Ashku Event Glow Management and the Ipoh City Council (MBI), the program attracted participants from abroad.
The 21km route included Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab, the Royal Ipoh Club, the Town Hall, the High Court, and the Ipoh Railway Station.
The morning run was further enlivened with performances, aerobics, and lucky draws.
Earlier, Perak’s Exco for Education, Higher Learning, Youth & Sports, Khairudin Abu Hanipah, flagged off the runners at 7:30 a.m.
Also present were Perak State Sports Council Director Mazlan Mohamad and the Director of the Perak Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Office, Muhammad Aminuddin.
