MANJUNG: The issues of bullying and gangsterism in schools have increasingly gained attention within our community and remain a significant concern for the police.

Recognizing this, the Manjung District Education Office (PPD) has collaborated with the Manjung District Police Headquarters (IPD) to visit schools directly.

A program organized by the MARA Education Foundation was held at Methodist ACS Secondary School in Sitiawan, involving approximately 300 students.

School Liaison Officer Assistant Superintendent (ASP) Thangaraja Balaraman attended the event to deliver a talk on bullying and gangsterism among school students.

He shared numerous insights about bullying, gangsterism, and the influence of peer pressure leading to unhealthy behaviors among students.

Overall, there are many contributing factors to these negative behaviors, and several measures should be taken to address them effectively.

ASP Thangaraja also urged students and school authorities, especially teachers, to report any information they receive to the police.

This includes any instances of coercion or pressure to join gangs or if students are being bullied.

Also present at the program were Manjung Deputy District Education Officer (Student Development Sector) Mior Darul Ikram Bin Kamarun Zaman and Co-curricular Senior Assistant Teacher Teong Chooi Hua.
