JCI Ipoh

Return, Rebuild and Reborn!

by KT Leong

The young generation are the leaders of the future, and to prepare them for this great responsibility, there are organisations like Junior Chamber International (JCI) Ipoh.

JCI Ipoh is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that nurtures the leadership of young people by providing them with leadership opportunities that will benefit the community. By working together with fellow JCI Ipoh members and other groups on projects to help the community, the members can develop their leadership skills and gain the opportunity to build relationships with various organisations. JCI only allows its members to hold a position for just one year, meaning there will be plenty of opportunities to take on a leadership role.

Since the “Pandemic Era”, JCI Ipoh has Returned, Rebuilt itself and been Reborn. They were the driving force behind many community projects, such as the Charity Golf and 520.1 Charity Ride events, which were not only fun events for everyone who participated, but raised funds for The Perak Deaf Sports Association (PESDeaf) and several orphanages. Through these, members and participants were able to network and work with many groups, such as YEG, HAMI Eco Farms, Kawan Renergy, RT Petroleum and more.

With over 47 years of history and support from past presidents, JCI Ipoh is keeping active with more projects on the horizon. Watch out for the Moonlight Fiesta, this coming September.

Those looking to join JCI Ipoh as members, as vendors for the Moonlight Fiesta or to partner up in helping the community, can call or WhatsApp 016-5570689 or email jciipoh1977@gmail.com
