IPOH: The re-publication of the print edition of Ipoh Echo has received a positive response from the residents of Ipoh, who are excited to read the newspaper again.
Despite the convenience and speed of digital news platforms, many still believe that print newspapers have their own unique charm.
For them, newspapers are more enjoyable to hold, easy to carry around, and can be read multiple times without needing gadgets like smartphones.
Compared to social media, the photos in newspapers are said to feel more ‘real’ to readers and do not disappear in an instant.
Fatin Liyana Jalaluddin, a Sales Executive at MU Hotel Ipoh, believes the re-publication of Ipoh Echo is timely, especially for featuring news related to tourism and interesting spots in Ipoh.
“In addition to community news, Ipoh Echo prominently highlights tourism aspects in Ipoh, particularly the hotel industry, which helps introduce services to visitors.
“Ipoh Echo consistently provides positive coverage on tourism developments in Perak, and this re-publication is greatly welcomed,” she said.
Sharifah Anita Wafa Syed Munir Wafa, Public Relations Officer at Politeknik Ungku Omar, enjoys reading newspapers more and finds Ipoh Echo’s content engaging.
“The concise and straightforward news format makes the newspaper a relaxing yet informative read.
“In future editions, perhaps there could be more focus on educational matters in Ipoh, which would also be of interest to many,” she added.
Since yesterday, Ipoh Echo has been distributed at locations such as hotels, private hospitals, selected restaurants and cafes, government premises, and other specific spots.
