IPOH: Sharing blessings.
About 30 residents from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Cahaya Kasih Kinta, Perak, and Pertubuhan Baitul Aini Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin Ipoh were celebrated at a tea party hosted at Mr. Roasted Greentown Restaurant here.
The event also marked the opening of the restaurant, which serves Chinese Muslim cuisine.
The special guests were treated to a variety of dishes including roast duck, roast chicken, Hainanese chicken rice, claypot lamb, seafood, and more.
Mr. Roasted Greentown, located in Greentown Business Center, operates daily from 11 AM to 9 PM, offering a range of traditional Malaysian dishes and attractive set menus at affordable prices.
Eric Lee, Director of Mr. Roasted Sdn. Bhd., said that they invited the children from the homes to celebrate the occasion together.
This is part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) program to support special groups.
Meanwhile, Ipoh Mayor, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin, expressed his gratitude to Mr. Roasted Sdn. Bhd. for partnering with the Ipoh City Council (MBI) in conducting CSR activities, particularly the MBI Prihatin Program.
“I hope more private companies like Mr. Roasted Sdn. Bhd. will conduct programs that benefit the citizens of Ipoh in need.
“The media also plays a significant role each year by covering these events to encourage more contributions from the community.
“Through the sponsorship of such beneficial programs, we share our blessings for the well-being of the less fortunate citizens of Ipoh,” he said.
