Patriotic Tourism Program in Lenggong Lights Up Independence Month

LENGGONG: For the first time, a special event themed around patriotic tourism has been organized.

It also coincides with the ongoing Independence Month celebrations.

This program was organized by Amazing Camp Legacy in collaboration with Tourism Perak.

Amazing Camp Legacy operates a campsite here managed by former members of the Royal Malaysia Police’s elite VAT 69 Commando unit.

The camp’s founder, Dato’ Rashid Harun, is a former officer of the unit and the President of the VAT 69 Commando Veterans Association.

The objective of this program is to instill heritage and patriotic values in visitors through tourism and to appreciate the contributions of the nation’s heroes.

The program also includes other VAT 69 veterans serving as facilitators throughout the event.

In addition to the general public, students from higher education institutions also participated in the program.

Also featured was an exhibition by the Royal Malaysia Police Museum and tourism agencies to promote the attractions of Lenggong.

Earlier, the program was officially launched by the Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad.
