KAMPAR: Efforts to promote a circular economy, which can serve as an additional income source, are being intensified within the community.

Green Energy Asia (GEA), a licensed company for collecting used cooking oil (UCO), continues its campaign at the Perak Clean and Healthy Program (Perak BEST).

The program was officiated by Malim Nawar State Assembly Member, Bavani Veraiah.

It was jointly organized by the Kampar District Council (MDKpr) and involved various agencies, including Kampar Hospital, the Perak Information Department, and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR).

The event featured health screenings, blood donations, recycling exhibitions, a recycled materials fashion show, and much more.

GEA set up an exhibition booth to educate visitors about the dangers of UCO and accepted UCO donations for recycling into biodiesel.

A forum on waste management was also held, with representatives from GEA, UTAR, and MDKpr sharing insights and suggestions to reduce plastic waste.

Perak BEST is an initiative to promote health, sustainability, and community spirit.
