The article in Ipoh Echo by Zaki Salleh titled ‘Wild Boars, Lizards, Venomous Snakes Inhabit Underbrush Near Tiger Lane’ is a bit misleading. The article states that ‘Residents previously reported their concerns to the authorities, including Canning State Assembly Member (ADUN) Jenny Choi, but no action has been taken.”
These are the facts:
We have contacted the complainer, Shalini, and followed up on the issues all the while. We have informed Perhilitan to address the wild boar problem and also contacted the Association regarding the underbrush on their land.
