LUMUT: For the first time, a High Profile Policing (HPP) Program was held by the Perak Police Chief in Lumut, at the grounds of Surau Al-Muttaqin, Taman Bukit Permata.
Themed ‘Infinite Awareness, Zero Crime,’ the program was attended and officiated by Perak Police Chief, Dato’ Pahlawan Azizi Mat Aris.
Notable attendees included Lumut Member of Parliament, Commander (B) Nordin Ahmad Ismail, Pangkor State Assembly Member (ADUN) Norhaslinda Zakaria, and Pasir Panjang ADUN, Rosli Abd Rahman.
Also present were the Deputy Head of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department, Perak Contingent Police Headquarters, ACP Datin Seri Halimahton Ahmad, and Manjung District Police Chief, ACP Mohamed Nordin Abdullah.
The event commenced with congregational Isyak prayers at Surau Al-Muttaqin, Taman Bukit Permata.
The program featured a skit by Lumut Police Station officers, a dialogue session between the public and the police, and a crime prevention montage.
Meanwhile, Norhaslinda praised the initiative of the Perak Police Chief for engaging with the local community.
She remarked that the program was significant in strengthening the relationship and cooperation between the Lumut community and the police.
“This is an excellent program as it involves the community in working with the police to combat crime, truly embodying the slogan ‘Police and Community Are Inseparable.’
“What’s more, the Perak Police Chief took the opportunity to personally engage with the attendees,” she added.
