120 students in competition that improved their Bahasa Malaysia

The Educational, Welfare & Research Foundation (EWRF) Ipoh Branch had officiated the Language Competition to Empower Bahasa Malaysia Programme (Programme Pertandingan Bahasa / Merperkasakan Bahasa Malaysia) for the Kinta District Level secondary schools, involving 120 indian students.

This was done in collaboration with the organisers, Tamil Sevai Sangam, under the leadership of Mr. Ravichandran and his committee, which took place on August 10, at SMK Sungai Pari Buntong, Ipoh.

The purpose of the programme was to uplift Bahasa Malaysia as a language and to improve its speaking proficiency among the participants.

Along with the attendance of the parents and teachers, and over 15 judges for the competition, the invited guests were Dato Hj. Johan and Datin Hajah Nuraida, the founder cum directors of Produksi Nur Johan, headmaster of SMK Sungai Pari, Mr Ahmad Redzaudin and EWRF Headquarters (HQ) representative, Central Committee Member (CCM) Ms. Vijayalegthmi.

The programme was officiated by Mr. Synverster Dhas, the EWRF National Vice President cum EWRF Ipoh Branch Chairman, with thanks given by Mr. Ravichandran, the Chairman of Tamil Sevai Sangam, Ipoh and a closing speech by the school headmaster, Mr. Ahmed Redzaudin bin Hussein.
