IPOH: A total of 29 police officers and personnel received commendation letters during the Perak Police Chief’s Monthly Assembly at the Perak Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK) here.
These awards were in recognition of their successful and excellent performance in their duties.
Among the recipients were also three officers from the Ipoh Branch of Pos Malaysia Berhad.
The commendation certificates were presented by Perak Police Chief, Datuk Azizi Mat Aris.
This assembly was also his first since assuming the role of Perak Police Chief on July 16.
The assembly began with the singing of the national anthem ‘Negaraku’ and the police anthem ‘Sang Saka Biru,’ followed by a prayer and the recitation of the police pledge.
In his speech, Azizi stated that the safety and public order in the state of Perak are in good and controlled conditions.
He emphasized that the primary focus is on preventing and combating crime, with all District Police Chiefs instructed to closely monitor crime trends in their respective areas.
This includes devising case resolution strategies and preventive measures, ensuring road safety, prioritizing discipline, and upholding the pledge as police officers.
“The Perak Police personnel must practice the spirit of esprit de corps and support each other for the strength of the force.
“We need to equip ourselves with knowledge relevant to our specific job roles and duties, not allowing logistical constraints to hinder our commitment to serving the nation and society,” he added.
