IPOH: The spirit of patriotism can be expressed in many ways, no matter where you are.
A prime example is the participation of over 600 students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Aminuddin Baki, Chemor, who were involved in the launch of the National Month celebration.
Instilling patriotism from a young age is crucial to ensure students understand and appreciate the struggles of past heroes in securing the nation’s independence.
The event was organized by the Kelab Malaysiaku of SMK Aminuddin Baki, Chemor, in collaboration with the Kinta District Information Office.
According to Nurul Azirah Mohd Yunus, the Information Officer for Kinta District, the effort aimed to further enliven the National Month celebrations in August.
“Such celebrations are important to instill a deep love for the country. I encourage the students to support the government’s initiative by ensuring the Jalur Gemilang is flown at every home, in line with the ‘One House, One Flag’ campaign,” she said, while officiating the launch at SMK Aminuddin Baki on Monday.
Also in attendance were the school principal, Mastura Kahan Saaib, teachers, and students.
The program included various activities such as the recitation of the Rukun Negara pledge, a poetry performance by Special Education students, patriotic song performances, a national quiz, and the presentation of the Jalur Gemilang.
During the event, Nurul Azirah also promoted this year’s National Month theme, Malaysia MADANI Jiwa Merdeka.
