KPKT Approves RM6.72 Million for Development and Infrastructure in Kampar

KAMPAR: The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) has approved an allocation of RM6.72 million for the implementation of development and public infrastructure projects for the residents of Kampar this year.

The Minister of Housing and Local Government, Nga Kor Ming, announced this allocation during a working visit as part of the KPKT Touchpoint Program to Kampar here recently.

According to a statement from KPKT, the allocation of RM6,719,840 will be used for several development projects.

“These include the Malaysian Housing Maintenance Fund (TPPM) program amounting to RM210,000;

“Development projects under the Perak Local Authority (PBT), Kampar District Council totaling RM3,060,000;

“Environmental Landscape Development in Kampar town amounting to RM500,000;

“Home repair program totaling RM120,000;

“Development projects in Kampung Baru including Repair Assistance Program totaling RM1,300,140;

“People’s Friendly Home (RMR) program amounting to RM1,200,000.00 and repairs, renovations, and maintenance for three Non-Islamic Places of Worship (RIBI) totaling RM329,700,” he said.

Meanwhile, Kor Ming stated that the allocation approved by KPKT is performance-based budgeting.

“This is to ensure that KPKT’s services and focus on improving public infrastructure continue to be enhanced in the Kampar district for the comfort and well-being of the local residents,” he said.
