Waste Collection Issue at Taman Cempaka Resolved, MBI Carries Out Cleanup

By Aida Aziz

IPOH: The issue of waste accumulation at No 56, Persiaran Cempaka Sari 24, Taman Cempaka, has finally been resolved.

According to the complainant, the Ipoh City Council (MBI) has completed the cleanup work, and there are no longer any problems with waste disturbances as reported previously.

The complainant expressed relief that the swift action taken by MBI has alleviated the long-standing issue for the local community.

They also extended appreciation and thanks to all parties involved, particularly Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic for highlighting the problem.

“Recently, MBI came and cleaned up the area around the house.

“As residents, we hope this issue does not recur. Thanks to Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic and MBI for resolving this problem.

“It is understood that the elderly woman who collected the waste has been warned by MBI not to repeat the behavior,” they said.

Previously, Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic reported on the issue of an elderly woman in her 70s who repeatedly collected waste, which seemed to be an ongoing problem.

The situation worsened as the waste pile attracted pests like rats, leading to the death of a neighbor’s pet cat due to a python.

Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic had also raised the issue with an MBI spokesperson for prompt resolution, and shortly thereafter, the complainant reported that the cleanup work had been carried out.
