Ipoh: Perak is making strides in the tourism industry with the launch of the Muslim-Friendly Islamic Travel Package, officiated by Perak Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad.

Saarani Mohamad stated that the package is specifically designed to cater to the needs of Muslim tourists, both locally and internationally.

“This package highlights various fascinating destinations that showcase the history, culture, and Islamic heritage of the state of Perak.

“Among the key attractions are visits to historic mosques, Islamic educational centres, and significant sites that have played a pivotal role in the development of Islam in the state.

“The package not only strengthens Perak’s position as a preferred tourism destination but also reflects the state’s commitment to promoting tourism that adheres to and respects Islamic values,” he said during his speech at the launch of the Muslim-Friendly Travel Package, in conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2024, at Restoran Mohd Chan, Ipoh, on Tuesday.

Additionally, the package offers Muslim-friendly amenities such as halal food, prayer facilities, and shariah-compliant accommodations.

This initiative aims to attract more Muslim tourists seeking experiences that align with their faith.

Saarani Mohamad further emphasized that the state government hopes the package will boost Perak’s tourism sector, particularly by drawing tourists from Southeast Asian countries like Singapore, Indonesia, and Brunei.

“This package also provides tourists with the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty and unique culture of Perak.

“Through the collaboration of the Islamic Tourism Centre, Tourism Perak, Masjid Muadz Bin Jabal Setiawangsa, and Santai Travel, the 3-Day 2-Night Islamic Travel Package has been successfully brought to life.

“The state government hopes that this package will further enhance Perak’s image as a destination rich not only in natural beauty but also in Islamic values, appealing to tourists from diverse backgrounds,” he added.
