KAMPAR: The public, especially dog owners, is invited to join the ‘Perak Pawsitive Initiative’ program to seize the opportunity to receive a subsidy for neutering their pet dogs.
The campaign will take place from September 27 to 29, from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Gopeng Town Hall.
The subsidy is limited to 100 pet dogs only.
Chairman of the Housing and Local Government Committee, Sandrea Ng Shy Ching, said the program, organized by the Kampar District Council in collaboration with the Perak State Government, aims to control the stray animal population in the community.
“This program aims to control the stray animal population in the community for the benefit of all parties.
“It is implemented with a preventive approach through awareness campaigns and neutering,” she said in a statement on her Facebook page.
Shy Ching mentioned that priority will be given to pet dogs registered in the Gopeng area.
