Pre-War Heritage Building Hit, Public Asked to Provide Information

TAPAH: The public is requested to assist if they have any information or closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage related to the incident involving the shop house at No.15 Jalan Besar Tapah, which collapsed and is believed to have been hit by a heavy vehicle.

It is understood that the building owner discovered the incident at around 5 a.m. today.

The building reportedly sustained damage to its front wall and a damaged signboard.

Furthermore, the pre-war heritage building also suffered other damages, the extent of which has yet to be assessed.

Meanwhile, Tapah District Police Chief, Supt. Mohd Naim Asnawi, confirmed the incident when contacted.

He said that police has received a traffic report regarding the incident.

He added that the investigation is still ongoing, and no casualties have been reported.
