IPOH: Participants of the parade contingents took part in a rehearsal for the 2024 State-Level National Day Celebration in front of the Ipoh Town Hall, Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab.
The parade contingents include foot drill units, a band, and a procession of various vehicles.
Present at the rehearsal were State Finance Officer Dato’ Mohd Zaki Mahyudin and Deputy State Secretary (Management) Dato’ Nor Sham Rahman.
The full event will take place on Saturday, August 31, starting at 7 AM.
The public is invited to join in celebrating the State-Level National Day in Perak.
Additionally, for the information of all Ipoh residents, 16 main roads in the city will be closed from 6:30 AM until the completion of the parade.
The roads and routes to be used for the Independence Day procession include Ipoh Padang, Jalan Sultan Idris Shah, Jalan Sultan Yussuf, Little India, Jalan Tan Sri Tajuddin Ali, Medan Kidd, Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab, and Jalan SP Seevanisagam.
Road users are advised to plan their journeys and choose alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
