IPOH: Efforts to support innovation in enhancing food security, particularly at the primary and secondary education levels, are crucial to advancing the food security agenda under the Perak Sejahtera 2030 Plan.

To support this goal, the Junior Food Security Innovation Challenge (J-SInC) 2024 was held at the Royal Perak Golf Club in Ipoh.

This program was organized by the Perak State Development Corporation (Perak SADC) and the Perak State Entrepreneurship Secretariat (STeP), in collaboration with the Perak State Education Department.

At the district level, 51 primary schools and 29 secondary schools participated in the competition.

Twelve primary and secondary schools were selected to represent their districts in the final round.

Each school was required to present their product, innovations in problem-solving, the advantages of the product with commercial value, and creativity.

Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Rapat Setia and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Seri Iskandar emerged as champions in the Laman Dapur & Agro Innovation categories, respectively.

Prizes were presented by the Exco for Women, Family, Community Welfare, Cooperatives, and Entrepreneurship Development of Perak, Dato’ Salbiah Mohamed.
