IPOH: Perak aims to sell 30,000 products worth approximately RM1.5 million through its Pavilion at the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2024 in Kuala Lumpur.

The Pavilion is coordinated by the Perak State Entrepreneurial Secretariat (STeP) and the Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation (Perak SADC).

Six local companies are participating, Gerik Food Industry with instant pekasam rice, Mesra Herbs Sdn. Bhd. (various types of coffee and health products), and Cwp Food Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. (seaweed-based snacks).

Also involved are Suffy Dairy Group Sdn. Bhd. (dairy products), Perak Halal Industrial Park, and Eurofresh Sdn. Bhd. (frozen meat).

A total of 65 products will be showcased for sale, representing 25 entrepreneurs.

The Director of STeP, Mohamad Rozlan Mohamad Razalli, stated that they expect the sales value of the showcased products to increase compared to previous editions.

He noted that MIHAS is an excellent platform for selected Perak entrepreneurs to market their products.

“With thousands of exhibitors and halal industry players from around the world attending MIHAS, this is indeed a great opportunity for all Perak entrepreneurs to explore the future of the halal industry together.

“We believe that the products brought by Perak entrepreneurs to MIHAS are the best and most selected,” he told Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic.

Overall, MIHAS 2024 features over 2,000 exhibitors from 66 countries.
