IPOH – It’s not just second-hand clothing, but the demand for high-quality or premium second-hand sports shoes is on the rise.
Who would have thought that supplying second-hand sports shoes would have its niche, especially among sports enthusiasts, including athletes?
Due to this growing demand, a shop offering branded second-hand sports shoes at lower prices than new ones has emerged.
Located at 41 (upper floor), Jalan Kamaruddin Isa, Taman Fair, PRT. STORE is not your typical shoe shop as it offers a wide selection to customers.
Opened just two months ago, the store offers more than 200 pairs of branded sports shoes, including football boots and other sports footwear like those for hockey, frisbee, and rugby.
Store manager Muhammad Hazim revealed that all the shoes sold are second-hand imports from the United States and Korea, and of high quality.
“These shoes are priced between RM80 and RM700 per pair, which is three to four times lower than the price of new shoes.
“The shoes we offer are of good quality, allowing customers to get affordable, high-performance footwear.
“Many of our customers are teenagers and school students who are also athletes at their schools or institutions.
“There are also working professionals who are active in sports, as well as local athletes. So far, customer response has been very encouraging,” he said.
According to Muhammad Hazim, in line with current trends, the store also conducts nightly online sales sessions, attracting a large audience.
“We follow current trends by going live online through TikTok at PRT.STORE and on Instagram at prt.storee.
“Soon, we will also participate in events such as football and rugby competitions, as well as sales programs organised by the Perak state government to engage with customers,” he added.
PRT. STORE is open daily from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM, except on public holidays.
