IPOH: Road accidents often involve motorcycles, with many victims being teenagers, including school students.
For this reason, the Perak Police consistently implements programs with the youth community, particularly through outreach sessions in schools.
This initiative is carried out by the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) of the Perak Police through the Road Safety Awareness Advocacy Program at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dato’ Haji Mohd. Taib, Chemor.
The program is supported by strategic partner Flash Express Company.
Present to officiate the program was the Perak Police Chief, Dato’ Pahlawan Azizi Mat Aris.
In his speech, he emphasized the importance of road safety awareness among school students.
As a launch gimmick, Azizi then participated in fitting helmets on seven school students.
The road safety awareness advocacy talk was also delivered by the Head of the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department of the Perak contingent, Superintendent Sahimi Hussin.
A quiz session and exhibitions by several police departments were also held to enhance awareness about safety and social responsibility.
