The Big 3 Fun Run is back! Organized by the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA Perak), Perak Bar, and The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM Perak), this year’s run will take place this Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Ipoh Seri Botani Eco Park 1.
This year’s event features a 4 km costume run and an 8 km run, catering to both seasoned runners and those looking to enjoy a fun, active morning with friends and family. With over 300 registrants already signed up, the event promises a vibrant atmosphere filled with camaraderie and excitement.
In addition to the runs, there will be various activities for families and spectators, including Zumba sessions, car displays by Lexus, and free eye screenings provided by Vista Eye Specialist Ipoh. Fairview International School will also have a booth, and attendees can look forward to lucky draws throughout the event.
Dr. Monesh Pillai, the organizing chairman, expressed his excitement for the event, stating, “The Big 3 Fun Run not only promotes fitness but also fosters community spirit among professionals from various fields. This event aims to create awareness about healthy lifestyles while collaborating for the betterment of the residents of Seri Botani.”
Invited guests include YB Tan Kar Hing, Member of Parliament for Gopeng, and YB Wong Chai Yi, ADUN from Simpang Pulai, along with sponsors Taiko Group, Fairview International School, and 1969.
This year’s Fun Run promises to be an exhilarating experience, bringing together legal professionals, engineers, and medical practitioners for a day of fitness and fun. Whether you’re cheering from the sidelines or participating in the runs, it’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with neighbours and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Eco Park.
