IPOH: A total of 100 students from the Tambun parliamentary area who successfully advanced their studies to higher education institutions received educational assistance from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The Political Secretary to the Minister of Finance, Muhammad Kamil Munim, stated that the assistance includes diploma and undergraduate students with an allocation of RM500 each for families in the B40 income group.

“We held a ceremony to distribute educational contributions for students who will be continuing their studies at IPTA and IPTS in the Tambun parliamentary area at SK Meru Raya Hall.

“This contribution aims to alleviate the financial burden on the supported families so they can access quality education like others.

“We hope this incentive will motivate the students to continue their studies and enhance their determination to excel, as well as to purchase necessary learning equipment that they may still lack,” he said in a statement on Sunday.

He further explained that they are aware of the various challenges faced by students in higher education, particularly financial constraints for living costs and other expenses.

Additionally, he mentioned that most students rely entirely on educational loans to ensure their lives run smoothly throughout their studies.

“The Prime Minister, through the Tambun Parliamentary Community Service Center, is committed to assisting students through various initiatives focused on program development, welfare, and the well-being of students in the country.

“The Prime Minister consistently emphasizes the importance of prioritizing education as it can change their future.

“Certainly, the agenda of empowering education for children at the grassroots level, especially from low-income families, will be prioritized, and as the Member of Parliament for Tambun, he will always remain committed to helping them,” he added.
