MANJUNG: Supporters of Perak FC are urged to come out in full force to support the team as they face their upcoming matches in the Malaysian League (Liga-M) at the Manjung Municipal Council Stadium (MPM), their new home ground.
Perak FC’s General Manager, Neow Choo Seong, wants all supporters of The Bos Gaurus to attend the matches at MPM.
He is confident that this new venue will not hinder Perak FC’s performance, but rather help maintain their excellence, especially after their three consecutive wins in previous matches.
“MPM Stadium has been chosen as an alternative venue for the Yob squad for the remaining Liga-M matches due to upgrading work on the pitch and irrigation system at Perak Stadium in Ipoh, which will commence as early as November.
“I believe the pitch conditions at MPM Stadium are not like those at Perak Stadium, so there will be no match postponements as we experienced against JDT recently.
“However, if it rains, that’s beyond our control, especially with the current monsoon season, we just hope the weather is in our favor,” he stated.
He made these comments after a courtesy visit from the senior management of Perak FC to the President of MPM, Muhammad Faizal Shah Safian Suri, at his office.
In addition to serving as a greeting, the meeting also discussed aspects of organizing the Liga-M 2024/2025 matches to be held at MPM for the remainder of the season.
After the courtesy visit, officials from both MPM and Perak FC conducted a site visit at MPM Stadium to assess the preparations for the upcoming match scheduled for October 19.
They also participated in a Local Competition Committee meeting chaired by the Match Coordinator, involving Perak FC, MPM, and the Royal Malaysia Police.
