Perak’s premier running club Kelab Roadrunners Ipoh (KRI) and upcoming local athleisure lifestyle brand ViQ Sports are joining hands to help people keep fit in style. In a 5km relay event organised by KRI for its members recently, ViQ sponsored lucky draw prizes which included fitness accessories and attire.
“We are proud to partner with a running club with such a long history and great reputation as Kelab Roadrunners Ipoh and look forward to continue a synergistic partnership in future events. ViQ’s athleisure wear are designed for comfort and performance using cool, light and breathable fabric, yet they come in trendy and attractive designs that make them suitable for everyday “smart casual” wear,” said Ms Penny Chong, Branding Assistant Manager of ViQ Apparel Sdn Bhd.
ViQ will, she says, in turn organise a 5km night run, called the ViQ Neon Run, on 4 January 2025. This event is fully supported by KRI, and all participants will receive an attractive ViQ t-shirt as part of the goodies.
Another local nutrition powerhouse, Theme Good Marketing, sponsored their house brand “Theme Good” nutritional products.
On his part , Mr Chong Him Shoong, President of KRI said, “Today’s lifestyle is all about looking good and feeling good; attire that is also trendy and well designed such as that by ViQ inspires us all to work out. Diet and good nutrition is another important aspect of maintaining health and fitness; we thank both ViQ and Theme Good for sponsoring their products to our runners today.
“We help people make the right choices as they strive towards their goals of keeping fit and staying healthy. It’s also a lot more fun to work out in a group than to do it alone, and training requires discipline which is easier when you have others to rally you along,” he added.
Chong, who founded KRI in 1988, has been its President ever since; that the club remains active and strong after 35 years is a testament to his leadership and the selfless services of his committee, many of whom have served for decades. The 5km relay run is part of KRI’s year-long programme of activities for members.
“KRI helps you be the fittest version of yourself, ViQ makes sure you’re dressed for the part and looking your best in the path towards fitness, whilst Theme Good helps you with your nutritional needs, so you’re all sorted,” Chong quipped.
