Deepavali: PCSH Brings Joy to Residents of Sai Setia Kasih Nursing Home

IPOH: A total of 135 residents of the Sai Setia Kasih Nursing Home, Silibin were celebrated here in conjunction with the Deepavali festival which will be celebrated on October 31.

The initiative to bring joy to the residents and elderly was carried out by the Perak Community Specialist Hospital (PCSH) as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR).

According to PCSH Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Chan, the visit was also attended by representatives from BTS R Partners, Zurich, Tamil Selvi.

“PCSH is a non-profit hospital aimed at providing quality and affordable healthcare to the community.

“We always pay special attention to projects that allow the hospital to give back to the community, particularly to centers like Sai Setia Kasih, which provide dedicated and compassionate care to individuals with mental health issues, dementia, and severe cognitive impairments,” he said when met on Friday.

He added that the visit aligns with the hospital’s annual commitment to spread joy to people from all walks of life.

“Seeing the residents’ happy faces when we arrived truly inspires us, it means a lot.

“Every year, PCSH never forgets the unwavering support from the community and will continue to give back, especially during festive occasions,” he further stated.

The residents were clearly excited and happy with the visit from the PCSH team.

They also received essential goods and enjoyed a lunch menu prepared by PCSH.

PCSH physiotherapy staff organized exercise sessions to entertain the residents.

Additionally, BTS R Partners contributed various items.

The home, established in 1977 by Dr. Vejayan Sinnasamy, began as a single-story residence with three rooms. It has now expanded into two specially constructed buildings offering various types of accommodation to meet the diverse needs of residents, ensuring their privacy and comfort.
