MANJUNG: Perak FC came close to securing three points before conceding a late goal, resulting in a 2-2 draw against Terengganu FC.
Perak FC coach Yusri Che Lah described the draw as a valuable lesson for his players ahead of future matches.
“We were very close to getting three points, but once again we were punished by a lapse in concentration in the last three minutes.
“Perhaps the players forgot that we now have VAR (Video Assistant Referee), and we have a lot of work to do,” he told the media after the match at Stadium Manjung.
In the 2024/2025 Super League match, the Boss Gaurus squad played in front of over 2,000 enthusiastic home supporters.
Yusri further commented that, on paper, Terengganu FC appeared stronger than Perak FC, and the game was imbalanced; however, his players still put up a good fight.
He stated that moving forward, he would refine the team’s performance, ensuring players focus more on scoring points.
Meanwhile, Perak FC expressed gratitude to the local supporters who came out to cheer at the stadium.
“Thank you to the 2,602 loyal supporters who attended the Manjung Municipal Council Stadium to provide strong support to Perak FC.
“Your presence motivates and strengthens the team. Continue to stand by us in every match!” said Perak FC.
