IPOH – The grand script of National Artist Dato’ Syed Alwi Syed Hasan, “Alang Rentak Seribu,” will be staged at the Auditorium of the National Department of Culture and Arts (JKKN) Perak on November 8 and 9, 2024, starting at 8.30 PM.
Directed by Ard Omar, this 1 hour and 45-minute theatrical performance features an impressive cast, including Azizah Mahzan, Nesa Idrus, Faha Azhar, Pak Chu (Raja Lawak), Rosli Rahman Adam, Faris Jamhari, and many others.
The story revolves around Alang, a young man from the village who cleverly tackles various problems. A film crew from the National Film Department arrives in Alang’s village to shoot a documentary, and Alang is appointed as the assistant director.
Without his father Pak Halim’s permission, Alang chooses Mazni to be the film’s heroine. When filming begins with actor Zulkifly Iskandar, Pak Halim’s anger arises, but he eventually agrees.
However, issues arise when rumours surface about Zulkifly corrupting Mazni, leading Pak Halim to prohibit her from acting.
The conflict escalates when the film crew is attacked by Pak Mokhtar and his friends, forcing the production to halt.
Teacher Mahazan offers a new idea that reignites their spirits, but bigger problems loom ahead. Can they overcome these challenges and complete the filming?
Tickets priced at RM20.00 are available at the JKKN Perak counter. For reservations, please contact 05-2537001 or 013-9939091 (Nor Fairus Alias). Only viewers aged 15 and above will be admitted.
