IPOH: The cracked and pothole-filled road near Taman Klebang Baiduri, which was reported by Ipoh Echo and Peraktastic last Friday, has finally been repaired and restored.
This long-standing issue, which had troubled residents for over two years, has been resolved; bringing relief to the community and eliminating potential risks.
According to the complainant, Ooi, 59, the authorities carried out the resurfacing work on Tuesday.
“I would like to express my sincere thanks to Ipoh Echo and Peraktastic for coming to see and report the problem that has been ongoing here for several years,” she said when contacted.
“I hope this issue is fully resolved, and would also like to thank the authorities for coming to repair the cracked road,” she added.
Previously, Ipoh Echo and Peraktastic reported that the cracked and pothole-ridden road on Jalan Klebang Baiduri 4 had been worsening.
It was understood that the road had started to crack gradually, raising concerns about the potential impact on the structural integrity of nearby houses, including the risk of sinkholes.
The report also garnered various responses from readers on Facebook, with many urging immediate action to prevent further damage.
