By Julian Matthews
I will take your 31 days one
fray at a time, stitch it piece by
peace, fibre by fibber until a patchwork
of this emotional fabric of our lives emerges,
a blanket to wrap around
cold shoulders,
warm the cockles of my
desultory heart, ponder your
visage every night and fantasise about
being the 13th man to land
with the lunar module, pop
the hatch open, jump off with wild abandon
knowing the fall, in your low,
tender gravity
will not kill me.
