KERIAN: To foster recycling practices, M K Land Holdings Berhad (M K Land) through Bukit Merah Laketown Resort has launched a Recycling Campaign.
This initiative demonstrates the company’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
The two-week campaign, running from November 17 to 30, involves collaboration with the Kerian District Council, Trash4Cash, Zero Waste Earth Store, Ipoh Refill, Sabun Refill Taiping, and Suplime.
Also supporting the campaign are Life Line Clothing, Upcycling 4 Better, and Blueshark, a leading electric vehicle technology company.
Deputy Chief Operating Officer of M K Land, Nazri Tumin stated that the aim of this campaign is to inspire and encourage local community involvement in practicing sustainable waste management.
The campaign particularly emphasizes the 5R principles: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Rot, and Recycle.
“This campaign also provides us an opportunity to directly engage with the local community, promoting responsible waste management practices that offer long-term benefits to the environment,” he said.
Earlier, the campaign launch at Bukit Merah Laketown Resort involved 70 students from various schools in the Kerian district.
They participated in various activities such as plastic reuse, a technology workshop, and fabric recycling sessions.
