IPOH: Six summonses were issued by the police, while 42 more were issued by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) during the Integrated Commercial Vehicle Operation by the National Security Council (MKN) of Perak.
The three-hour operation, which began at 9 p.m., was conducted at KM 292 of the North-South Expressway, heading north near the RTC Gopeng, Kampar.
The summonses were issued for various traffic violations.
During the operation, a total of 155 vehicles, including trucks, buses, and vans, were inspected.
The operation aimed to ensure that all road users comply with traffic laws and regulations and to prevent road accidents involving commercial vehicles.
The Perak Police advised road users to always adhere to traffic laws and regulations to avoid accidents.
Perak Deputy Police Chief, Deputy Commissioner Zulakfli Sariaat, participated in the operation, which involved seven officers and 38 personnel.
The operation was also joined by various agencies such as JPJ, Plus Malaysia Berhad, Puspakom, and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
