LARUT: Police are urging the public to assist in locating a 19-year-old girl who has been unreachable and has not returned home for five days.
The District Police Chief of Selama, Superintendent Sarudin Samah, stated that Noraqilah Muhammad Saharizan, 19, is believed to have left her home in Kampung Medan, Selama, to go to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang, on December 1.
“Since that date, she has not returned home and her family has been unable to contact her.
“It is believed there was a misunderstanding between her and her mother before she left for work at a factory in Bayan Lepas,” he said in a statement.
Sarudin added that the teenager’s mother is a single parent, having been separated from her husband for the past 13 years.
“Due to being unable to contact her daughter, the woman made a police report out of concern for Noraqilah’s safety,” he said.
