IPOH: A total of 25 children from the Sinar Cahaya Orphanage Welfare Organisation LMS (Vincent Divine Home, Taiping) were celebrated in conjunction with Hotel WEIL’s 10th-anniversary celebration yesterday.
Hotel WEIL’s Managing Director, Liew Yu-Wei, shared that the event also marked the beginning of the Christmas and New Year 2025 celebrations.
“The Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony symbolises the hotel’s commitment to spreading festive cheer and supporting the less fortunate.
“The 15-foot Christmas tree, crafted entirely from recycled materials, reflects the hotel’s dedication to sustainability and its efforts to achieve ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) certification,” he said.
The unique tree featured handmade decorations, including polar bears, elephants, and rabbits made from reused towels, as well as pine trees crafted from cardboard boxes and other sustainable elements.
Also present at the event were Hotel WEIL’s Director, Dato’ Liew See Yee, and Vincent Divine Children Home Chairperson, Mary Stella.
