IPOH: Strong relationships between the police and the community are crucial, as they serve as a barrier to crime and help create a safe environment.
As part of its community outreach approach, Tawas Police Station organized the ‘Talk To Us’ program at the Kampung Tawas Morning Market.
The program was led by Tawas Police Station Chief, Inspector Nor Syaheeda Ahmad, along with her team of officers.
The police engaged with the community face-to-face to gather immediate feedback on the effectiveness of their services and the programs being held.
The initiative also aims to educate the public on crime prevention.
The ‘Talk To Us’ program is part of the Royal Malaysia Police’s (PDRM) ‘Modern Policing’ initiative. It aims to foster and strengthen mutual understanding between PDRM and the community, to work together in crime prevention efforts.
Through this approach, the community is encouraged to openly assist the police by providing information on criminal activities or promptly reporting any suspicious behaviour.
