IPOH – The success of a school relies on dynamic leadership, well-structured curricula, effective monitoring, and the unwavering support of parents and the community, said Perak State Assembly Speaker Dato’ Mohammad Zahir Dato Abdul Khalid.
He expressed his appreciation for the significant role played by the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) of SK La Salle Ipoh in supporting the school, thereby enhancing the comfort and quality of the learning environment for students.
“The Golden Jubilee celebration is a testament to the extraordinary achievements of PIBG SK La Salle over the past 50 years. It reflects the dedication and perseverance of those who have ensured the school’s continued progress,” he said during a recent charity dinner at Galasa Caldwell, Ipoh, in conjunction with the celebration.
Also present were the Headmaster of SK La Salle Ipoh, Norhisham Abdul Shukor, and the President of PIBG, Shamsina Shaharun.
The event was supported by various parties, including the Chairman and Members of the School Board of Governors, private companies, and individuals who contributed through table sponsorships, highlighting a strong sense of community spirit.
According to him, the funds raised from the dinner will be allocated for the restoration and upgrading of the school’s facilities.
Additionally, the event marked the official launch of the SK La Salle Alumni, also known as the ‘Old Lasallian Ipoh’, to strengthen ties between former students and the school.
Dato’ Mohammad Zahir urged all stakeholders to continue supporting PIBG, not only through financial contributions but also by dedicating time, effort, and commitment to ensure the ongoing excellence of SK La Salle.
“Believe me, a school’s success can be achieved when there is synergy in academic performance, a conducive learning environment, and active involvement from the entire community.
“This prestigious event is an important platform to ensure SK La Salle remains a distinguished institution in education,” he added.
