BATU GAJAH: A woman died while two others were injured when a Proton Wira car they were in skidded and overturned into a ditch near Jalan Tanjung Tualang Kampung Batu 3 here late last night.
Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, Assistant Director of Operations at the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), said there were three victims in the accident,adult man, adult woman, and a young girl.
He stated that the car overturned in a 1.5-meter-deep ditch.
“The man and the young girl were rescued by public and sent to the hospital by ambulance before the fire department arrived.
“However, the woman in the front passenger seat was unconscious and was confirmed dead by the Ministry of Health Malaysia’s medical team,” he said on Sunday.
Personnel from the Batu Gajah Fire and Rescue Station removed the victims using a stretcher.
The deceased was handed over to the police for further action.
