BY: Zaki Salleh

IPOH: The role of the Royal Malaysia Police’s Women’s Squad (AMANITA) in conducting community engagement activities is crucial in creating a positive impact, particularly in crime prevention efforts.

AMANITA fosters strong relationships between the police and the community, especially women, by providing up-to-date information and alleviating concerns over criminal activities.

The squad’s role was highlighted through the ‘Talk To Us’ program held in the Pekan Baru area, Ipoh, by officers and personnel from the Pekan Baru Police Station.

This outreach program was led by the Officer-in-Charge of Pekan Baru Police Station, Inspector Azrene Syazwani Abd Manap, along with the AMANITA team from Ipoh District Police Headquarters.

  • The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) engages directly with the community to gather immediate feedback on the effectiveness of services and programs provided.

This approach has proven effective in educating the public on crime prevention.

The objective of the ‘Talk to Us’ program is part of the ‘Modern Policing’ initiative by PDRM.

This program also aims to foster mutual understanding and strengthen ties between PDRM and the community as partners in crime prevention.
