IPOH: A significant step forward in athlete healthcare was achieved recently with the signing of a Notice of Understanding (NoU) between KS Healthcare (M) Sdn Bhd and the Perak State Sports Council (MSN).

The event, held at the ACTIV8 Sports Physio and Training Centre in Ipoh, marks a collaborative effort to enhance the performance and well-being of Perak’s athletes as they prepare for the SUKMA Games 2026 in Selangor.

Under this agreement, KS Healthcare will provide MSN athletes with comprehensive medical benefits, including physiotherapy, general medical care, and dental services.

The partnership also grants athletes and staff access to healthcare facilities for training, consultations, and treatments.

In addition, the collaboration includes injury prevention programs, medical support, and rehabilitation services aimed at optimizing athlete performance through advanced sports science and healthcare initiatives.

Officiating the ceremony, the Chairman of the Perak State Committee for Higher Education, Youth, and Sports, Khairudin Abu Hanipah, stressed the need for a holistic approach to athlete health.

“There are 262 Perak athletes eligible to compete in SUKMA 2026.

“To ensure their success, the Perak State Sports Council must place greater emphasis on addressing sports injuries, including psychological and other relevant aspects,” he stated.

Khairudin also expressed hope that KS Healthcare would extend its full support to key focus sports, particularly aquatic sports, which have garnered significant interest and participation.

This partnership signifies a pivotal moment in athlete preparation for SUKMA 2026, reinforcing the state’s commitment to nurturing high-performing athletes.
