IPOH: Residents of Ipoh and nearby areas can apply for the Bus.My Concession Card at a one-day application booth set up at Panggong Silver Star, Kampung Simee, today.
The booth, open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, offers eligible groups a convenient way to apply for free bus rides on Perak Transit’s newly launched Pink Bus service.
Eligible groups for the Bus.My Concession Card include senior citizens aged 60 and above, students (including university students), and persons with disabilities (OKU).
To apply, individuals need to present the following documents:
- Identification card
- Student card (for students)
- OKU card (for persons with disabilities)
A one-time application fee of RM10 is also required.
Since December 15, Perak Transit has been conducting trial operations of the Pink Bus service, deploying 25 buses across six routes in Ipoh, Batu Gajah, and Central Perak.
The trial routes are:
- Medan Kidd – Bercham – Tanjung Rambutan
- Medan Kidd – Tanjung Rambutan – Chemor
- Medan Kidd – Tanjung Rambutan
- Medan Kidd – Pasir Puteh – Pengkalan Sentosa
- Medan Kidd – Batu Gajah – Seri Iskandar
- Medan Kidd – LTSAS (Ipoh Airport) – Taman Botani
By January 2025, the service is set to expand with 55 buses, adding routes to Kuala Kangsar and Kampar.
For those who miss the one-day booth, applications for the concession card can still be made at Medan Kidd Bus Station, Ipoh.
