IPOH: Anyone driving along Jalan Pasir Puteh to Station 18 will notice lamp posts with exposed wires, without any covers.
This issue was previously raised by Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic over a year ago.
Some lamp posts have covers, while others remain exposed.
Looking at the design of these lamp posts, the wires should be hidden and not left exposed.
This implies that high safety standards should have been set to prevent any untoward incidents.
Thus, the question arises whether this current situation follows the standard operating procedure (SOP) that allows wires and other components to be left uncovered.
We do not want an accident to happen, only for multiple parties to start blaming each other to avoid responsibility.
We hope for an explanation from the authorities regarding this matter.
