KPKT Allocates RM168.7 Million to Develop Tambun

IPOH: Ipoh, and more specifically the residents of the Tambun parliamentary constituency, will greatly benefit from the implementation of 107 projects with a total allocation of RM168.7 million.
These projects fall under the development allocation from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) for this year.
Minister Nga Kor Ming, stated that the Tambun constituency, which is the home of Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, has received 55 projects under the Local Government Department, amounting to RM17.02 million.
He added that in the housing sector, KPKT remains committed to providing affordable homes for the people of Tambun with an allocation of RM149.21 million for the Tambun People’s Residency Program (PRR).
“Additionally, RM567,948.50 has been allocated for seven Rumah Mesra Rakyat projects under the National Housing Corporation (SPNB).
“For the Tambun constituency, KPKT, through the Community Welfare Division and the Chinese New Village Division, has implemented 34 house renovation and new construction projects, with a total cost of RM734,640,” he said.
Furthermore, KPKT has also upgraded public infrastructure in the Chinese New Village area with an allocation of RM1.71 million. This includes 10 projects involving road resurfacing and the upgrading of recreational parks.
According to Kor Ming, his ministry is focused on improving the quality of life for the people.
“The success of KPKT in receiving the National Development Award 2024 demonstrates our strong commitment to ensuring that planned development projects are completed and benefit those who are eligible.
“All groups will fully benefit. No group will be left behind,” he explained.
