IPOH: The fate of the residents of five houses on Jalan Budiman, Kampung Tengku Hussein Baru, Gugusan Manjoi, here, which were burned down last Sunday, has garnered attention.
The relevant authorities acted quickly to assist the victims involved.
The Head of Kampung Tengku Hussein, Iqbal Dinzly, through a post on his Facebook page, informed that follow-up actions will be taken.
“I, along with Ipoh City Council Member, Counselor Zakaria Mohamed; the Mukim Chief and village heads from nearby areas, visited the scene of the incident.
“We went on-site to assist the fire victims on Jalan Budiman.
“Thank you to Clr Zakaria Mohamed and also the Deputy Chief of UMNO Tambun Division, who made a small donation,” he said in the statement.
He also presented some contributions to each of the victims on behalf of the UMNO Tambun Division Chief, Dato’ Aminuddin Hanafiah.
“Alhamdulillah, I and the JPKK Secretary continued to manage the disaster assistance forms in efforts to secure aid from related agencies such as the Social Welfare Department and others,” he added.
In the incident, in addition to the five houses, four motorcycles were also destroyed.
However, the fire did not result in injuries or fatalities.
