IPOH: The start of the new school session in 2025 brings a fresh atmosphere to the community of Sekolah Kebangsaan Jalan Pegoh (SKJP) here.
The Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) of the school has donated two sets of Google TV televisions to the principal.
These will be used in two Year 6 classrooms.
The President of PIBG SKJP, Afi Roshezry Abu Bakar, said that the two televisions were purchased through a fundraising program conducted earlier.
He stated that the PIBG had launched the SKJP Smarthon Fund to enhance STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning facilities.
“This morning, PIBG SKJP successfully handed over two units of Google TV to the headmaster for use in the Year 6 Bitara and Year 6 Dinamik classrooms.
“This Smarathon campaign is indeed aimed at raising funds to purchase Google TVs for each classroom in the school to support more interactive learning sessions,” he said.
Present at the handover was the headmaster of SKJP, Kamson Misni.
Afi Roshezry explained that the Smarthon fundraising campaign will continue until March.
They are targeting the collection to equip all 28 classrooms with Google TVs for student use.
